Bundesdruckerei Wins a Major Euro Banknote Contract

Berlin-based company to produce around 860 million euro notes for 2012

Berlin-based Bundesdruckerei GmbH has won a major contract to produce euro banknotes. The company is to supply the entire quota for 2012 that was the subject matter of the Joint European Tender (JET). Clients are eight Eurosystem Central Banks joined together as the JET Group. This joint tender procedure allows national banks from EU Member States to award a joint order for their respective euro banknote demands.
